End of Year Reflections: Trust, Surrender, and Healing from Scarcity

New Year Reflection

As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on a journey that has shaped my life in more ways than I ever imagined—the journey of trust and surrender, especially in the face of past traumas, particularly those tied to the fear of lack and scarcity.

The Weight of Financial Trauma

For many years, the trauma of "not enough" cast a long shadow over my life. Whether it was the fear of not being able to pay bills, guilt around spending on myself, or the constant worry of what the future might hold, money became more than a tool—it became a trigger. It carried the weight of survival, worthiness, and safety, making it hard to believe that abundance was something I could ever truly experience.

I’ve learned that financial trauma isn’t just about numbers—it’s about the emotions, memories, and beliefs we carry. And for so long, I carried the belief that if I let go of control, everything would crumble.

Choosing Trust

This year, I leaned into the power of trust. Trust that my needs would be met, even if I couldn’t see how. Trust that opportunities would come, even when they felt out of reach. And trust in the universe’s ability to provide for me in ways I couldn’t have planned or imagined.

There were moments when the fear of scarcity resurfaced, urging me to tighten my grip, to shrink back into familiar patterns of overthinking and control. But with every moment of surrender, I discovered a profound truth:

Abundance isn’t just about having more—it’s about trusting that you are already enough.

The Healing Power of Surrender

Surrender doesn’t mean giving up. It means releasing the need to control every outcome and opening yourself to possibilities you may not yet see. It’s about allowing yourself to breathe through the discomfort, trusting that healing is happening in ways that may not be obvious in the moment.

For me, surrender meant looking at my relationship with money and realizing that abundance isn’t just financial—it’s the richness of connection, the beauty of being in alignment, and the peace that comes from trusting the process.

This wasn’t an overnight transformation—it’s an ongoing journey. But the more I’ve surrendered, the more I’ve opened myself to receiving.

Lessons I’m Taking into the New Year

  1. Release the Old Stories: Let go of limiting beliefs that no longer serve you. Money is energy, and how we feel about it matters.
  2. Celebrate Small Wins: Even the smallest moments of abundance—a kind gesture, a new opportunity—are reminders that you’re on the right path.
  3. Trust the Flow: Life is cyclical, just like nature. Periods of growth follow moments of stillness. Trust the rhythm.
  4. Give Freely: Generosity creates a ripple effect. When we give from a place of love—not fear—we signal to the universe that we trust there’s enough for everyone.

As I close this chapter and prepare for a new year, I carry these lessons with a full heart, grateful for every moment that has brought me here.

An Invitation to Reflect

What have you learned about trust and surrender this year? How has your relationship with scarcity—or abundance—shifted?

If you’d like to dive deeper into these themes, I’d love to connect through a soul coaching session or one of my upcoming events. Together, we can explore how to release what no longer serves you and step into a new year filled with trust, alignment, and abundance.

With love and gratitude,
Christine
